How UPPALE works

A slot is a listing you own. It can be a restaurant, creator, brand, or any entity competing for visibility. You create it once, add your first refuel, and it enters the live leaderboard immediately.

Slot owners refuel their slot to set their score in the leaderboard. The refuel amount sets your starting score. To outrank a competitor, your refuel must exceed their current amount by at least the category's minimum increment (e.g. 5%).

Every slot's effective score decays at 0.4% per hour continuously in real time. A 100 refuel is worth 98.02 after 5 hours and 92.31 after 20 hours. Sitting still means falling. Refueling or boosting your slot resets the clock and gives you a fresh effective score. Note: the decay timer is paused whenever the site is in maintenance. Your slot's value is preserved during any downtime.

Anyone (customers, fans, partners) can boost a slot they support by sending credits directly to it. 95% goes to the slot owner; the platform keeps 5%. Boosts reset the decay clock, giving the slot a fresh effective score.

UPPALE charges a flat 5% on every boost. There are no listing fees, no subscription costs, and no hidden charges. The owner always receives at least 95% of each boost amount.

The platform operates with two distinct balances to keep your funds organized. Spendable Wallet (Balance): This contains your pre-loaded credits and funds ready to be spent on the platform. You use this balance to place bids, boost slots, or refuel your own slots. My Income (Earnings Ledger): This is where your generated revenues accumulate. It tracks both the 95% slot income earned by owners and the streak cashback rewards earned by boosters. Funds in your Earnings cannot be spent directly; they must be withdrawn to your bank or transferred to your spendable wallet.

Slot owners can configure reward tiers by uploading promo codes and setting a boost threshold. Qualifying boosters receive a code instantly. Loyal supporters who boost the same slot 3 or more times earn streak credits equal to 80% of the platform's fee on each qualifying boost (4% of the total boost amount). These rewards are deposited directly into your Earnings ledger under "My Income" to reinforce your active rewards. If a slot has no active reward tiers configured, no voucher will be issued. You can check the boost panel before confirming.

Invite friends with your personal link. When they sign up you both get instant wallet credit to play with, plus a bonus earning that unlocks once they complete payout onboarding. Manage your link and track invites from your Referrals page.

Every time someone boosts your slot, 95% of the amount lands in your Earnings ledger under "My Income" instantly. You can withdraw to your bank account (processed within 1 to 2 business days via Stripe) or transfer to your wallet balance immediately to reinvest in other slots.

If you want to reinvest your rewards back into the platform to boost other slots or refuel your own, you can move your funds instantly. Go to My Account, My Income, and use the Transfer to Wallet section. This moves your selected amount from your Earnings ledger directly into your Spendable Wallet credits in one click.

If you prefer cash, you can pay out your earnings to a bank account. Go to My Account, My Income, and click Request Payout under the withdraw section. Enter your bank or payment details and submit. Payouts are processed automatically within 1 to 2 business days. Your earnings balance is debited immediately when the request is submitted.

When you boost a slot, you can leave an optional message for the owner. The owner can reply directly in the slot's activity feed. Messages and replies are public and visible to all slot viewers. This builds community around your favourite slots. You can delete your own message anytime. Anyone can flag abusive or spam messages for review. Our moderation team removes policy-violating content.

Earn milestone badges on your public profile by boosting, spending, and engaging. Milestones include First Boost, 10/50/100 Boosts, amounts boosted, categories explored, earnings received as an owner (First £1 Earned, £5 Club, etc.), and messages sent. Every achievement is always visible on your profile. Locked ones show as faded cards until you unlock them.
